On the home page you pick one of these eight doors. Each has its own sign — you will meet the same sign again on the result cards.

Search in three steps
1. Pick a door
Tap one of the eight doors, for example 'Care and help at home'. If you do not yet know what you are looking for, take 'Advice & orientation'.
2. Enter your place of residence
Enter your postcode or town. This is optional — but it lets us find the services responsible for you.
3. Call
You see a list with phone numbers. The green button calls directly. That is all you need to do.
Why the list is split into sections
The nearest service is not always the right one. That is why we do not sort by distance alone:

Authorities such as social services are tied to your place of residence. You cannot choose a different one — even if it is closer.

The service is responsible for a region, but we do not have its full list of municipalities. When you call, please ask briefly whether it covers your municipality.
- Neurology stated
The practice lists neurology as a field in its professional association's directory. That is their own statement; we have not verified it. Practices without this sign often treat after a stroke as well.
- For children and adolescents
This service is for children and young people. Adults will usually be better served by another entry.
- not known — please ask directly
We do not know this detail and we do not guess. Please ask the service directly.
The filters — and what they leave out
Every filter makes the list shorter. If something is missing, take a filter out again: above the results each restriction is a button you can tap.
- Door
- Shows the services behind one of the eight doors. Every entry sits behind exactly one — if something does not fit, you can tell us.
- Area within the door
- The second and last step. Behind 'Inpatient services' you will find, for example, acute hospital, rehabilitation clinic and nursing home. Which areas exist depends on the door you picked.
- Radius
- Affects only the 'Near you' section. For a therapy twice a week 15 km is preset, for an inpatient stay 50 km. The responsible offices and the nationwide services are not affected.
- Declared neurology only
- Shows only practices that name neurology in their professional association's directory. That is a short list — many practices without the note treat after a stroke as well.
- Outpatient clinics only
- The therapy departments of clinics and hospitals. They often offer several types of therapy under one roof — one trip instead of three.
Where the information comes from
Via Communa has compiled 9’778 services from 8’358 institutions. Some are checked by hand — those show when they were last checked. Most come from professional association directories; those entries say which one.
If we do not know something for sure, we do not guess. Instead it says 'not known — please ask directly'.
